painting the town purple

Hi all...I'm Charles, the chief creative officer of the Yojié. I've been with the team since square one (shout out to Artesia) and I've never ever seen our friends/customers support us so much! It's so inspiring and I'm very grateful for everyone's business. This is my first official entry because, let's face it, I've put this off for quite some. I'm not exactly the blogging type, most of us creative types aren't. We're usually in our own little worlds...but here goes nothing.
As some of you may know, WE LOVE ART! It's all over our walls. We actually sell them too. Recently I've been doing some painting on my 'not so' spare time and actually sold a few within the last couple months. We've just parted ways with the bushido hipster piece that's been on the wall for 4 months and the restaurant just isn't the same without it. Although, it was a blessing in disguise. It opened up more space for my latest creation called "smoke on this piece" featuring an uber geisha puffing on a pipe with a koi emerging from the clouds. It took several days and sleepless nights to do so please make sure to come in a see it for yourselves. It really does look better in person. Here are just a few before and afters. Here are the details:
